I’m a graphic designer who specializes in motion graphics, to some that means animation to others it means a world of possibility and endless creativity. Motion design to me means taking something, be it information, an introduction, a walkthrough, an explainer, a story, a logo, a drawing, and getting that thing to communicate with an audience on multiple levels, rather than being just something that moves.

Creating this motion design piece requires a lot of time and a lot of skill and the people who spend their time creating such beautiful work should have an amazing toolset that allows them to not only speed up their entire workflow but allows them to bring their imagination to life.

Creating Tools That Work

You may be wondering what a tool is? A lot like a hammer or a paintbrush a tool is something that is created to optimize how we work and thus improving our overall output.

A tool is an extension of what we already have. We are not recreating the wheel but more optimizing it to work better for us. A tool should be pleasant to use, something that feels natural at the same time allows us to do more. A tool shouldn’t remove the creative but should allow the creative to work with it.

I create tools that help animators improve their workflow and optimize their speed allowing them to focus more on the creative than the technical, Giving them access to things that weren’t available before. Moving them from “pen to paper” much quicker.
